'Hannibal' (graphic design & illustrations 2023)
This book cover and set of illustrations for the novel 'Hannibal' (1999) by Thomas Harris includes hand drawn illustrations of characters, a Florence skyline, digital art of a wild pig's skull and a fully reversible banquet scene - one side from the perspective of an intruder and the other from Hannibal Lecter's side. The pages were transcribed with Harris's original text and edited in Adobe InDesign to include the illustrations. One of the page-turns is paced during a pivotal moment of the story, so the double-page spread is carefully considered and fully impactful. The front cover is designed as a paper sleeve for a hardback with slot for the special edition bookmark included. There are both digital mock ups and physical mock up printed in-house.
